Badami Gosht

Badami Gosht is a very special Asian dish with a great taste. It can be served with hot Naan.

Ingredients of Badami Gosht:

Badami gosht Recipe
Meat: 1 kg
Ghee: 6 tbsp
Onions: 8 oz
Curd or yoghurt: 1/2 pint
Dry red chilies: 14
Coconut: 1
Almonds: 4 oz
Ginger and garlic : 2tsp
Cloves: 6
Cinnamon : 4 sticks
Cardamoms: 4
Caraway seeds: 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Cooking Directions of Badami Gosht:

Cut the meat in 1 inch pieces and soak it into the mixture of cured yogurt and turmeric for 1 hour.
Soak the almonds in hot water and grind them after peeling.
Grind the garlic and ginger. Also grate the coconut and extract milk.
Slice onions and grind the chilli with salt.
Take a medium sized pan and heat oil then add cardamoms, caraway, add cloves, cinnamon and onion.
When onion color turns to brown then add ginger and garlic and stir.
Add the meat and stir until onions gets dark brown then cover the pan.
When meat is half cooked then add coconut and cover again.
When meat tender then add almond paste and cook on low flame until ghee come over the surface.
A very delicious Meat with Almonds is ready served it with prathas.
