Chicken Karahi

Chicken Karahi can be made dozens of ways. it is very popular dish because of its name which shows its importance such as karahi.

Ingredients of Chicken Karahi:

Chicken Karhai Recipe
Chicken: ½ kg
Yogurt : 1 ½ cup
Ginger garlic chopped : 2 tbsp
Small Green chili: 5 to 6
Big green chili : 5 to 6
Ginger : ½ inches
Oil: ½ cup
Salt to taste
Kashmiri red chili: 10 – 15
Rajhistani red chili: 10 – 15
Cumin seeds : 1 tbsp
Paprika: 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds: 4 tbsp
Cloves : 5 – 6
Small cardamom: 8 – 10
Star Anise: 3 – 4

Cooking Method of Chicken Karahi:

Start to heat up the oil
Add the chicken pieces and fry till they turn golden brown.
Then add ginger garlic paste, small green chilies and whipped yogurt, fry for 5 minutes.
Then add masala and salt, fry for 2 – 3 minutes.
Finally add the large green chilies.
When the chicken tenders and the oil floats on top turn the flame off.
Garnish with chopped ginger and serve.

Serving:

3-5 People.
