Lime Chicken (Grilled) with Black Bean Sauce

This is really tasty and appetizing food. It is good for health because of low fat and we use it for lunch or dinner.


Lime Chicken with Black Bean SauceLemon 4-5
Olive oil 2tbs
Coriander ½ cup
Oregano leaves 2tbs
Black pepper ½ tsp
Kosher salt 1tbs
Skinless chicken breast 1-1/2
Red onion, halved then sliced into 1/4” strips

Ingredients for black bean sauce

1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained, rinsed
1 quarter of water
2 bay leaves
2 cloves garlic crushed
One bunch of cilantro, chopped into 1/4” bits (approx. 1/2 cup)
Salt and black pepper as required


Take all the ingredients the lime juice, cilantro, oregano, olive oil, pepper, salt in a round bowl and mix them well, and cut the chicken breast and add to marination bowl. Marinate the chicken for 2 hours at room temperature or overnight in the fridge.

Now we prepare black bean sauce while chicken is marinating. Put all the beans in a sauce pan and add all remaining ingredients. Boil all the material and remain uncover for 1 1/2hours.add water if needed. After that put all the material into food processor and mix it well according to your desire thick or thin.
Now we start to preheat the oven to 350 f, and prepare grills on gas or hot coals. Place the onion on the bottom of shallow, oven dish, then cover with chicken breast and marinate and cover the dish with aluminum foil, then bake for 15-20 minutes.

4 Place the chicken breasts on the grill over very hot coals or gas flame, and grill until they are thoroughly cooked but still moist (approximately 2 minutes on each side). Drizzle with remaining marinade while cooking. Remove to platter when grilled.

Serving style

Now u can serve the grilled chicken with red onion, drizzle with black bean sauce. Garnish with sour cream, , tomatoes or fresh cilantro – or serve with a leafy green side salad – as desired.
