Nirgisi koftay

Nirgisi koftay or meat balls are the famous Asian dish which Moghal Emperors took to India .Its name reason is due to the resemblance of narcissus flower which are like balls.

Ingredients of Nirgisi koftay:

Nirgisi Koftay Recipe

KOFTAY:

Beef minced : 1/2kg
Chopped Onion: 1small
Oil for fry : 1/2cup
Eggs boiled : 3
Gram grinds: 1tsp
Chopped Green chilies : 4,5
Garam masala pwd : 1tsp
Fresh coriander Chopped : 1/2bunch
Ginger garlic paste : 1tbsp
Red chilli powder: 1tsp
Salt to taste and 1 egg for fry purpose.

Gravy:

Sliced Onions : 4
Oil : 1cup
Yogurt : 1/2cup
Ginger garlic paste : 4tbsp
Coriander pwd : 4tbsp
Red chilli pwd : 2tsp
Turmeric pwd : 1/2tsp
Gram masala pwd : 1tsp
Salt to taste
Green chilies, Fresh Coriander and tomatoes for garnish.

Cooking Directions of Nirgisi koftay

To make delicious Koftay mix the all ingredients and divide the mixture into parts.
Take the boiled eggs and cover them with mince and make the oval shape.
Dip it into the beated egg and fry it into oil. Put them in freezer for 30 minutes and cut it into two parts.
To make gravy fry the onions slices into hot oil and grind them after separating from oil.
Add all spices including yogurt into hot oil and add the grinned onion.
Cook it until gravy becomes thick. Put the Kofta pieces into gravy and cook it on lower heat for 5-10 minutes.
Nirgisi Koftay is ready dish out them and garnish with fresh coriander and green chilli.
Serve Nirgisi koftay with hot roti or Naan.

3-4 People.
